O material, segundo o Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM), combina resist\u00eancia mec\u00e2nica, impermeabilidade e a\u00e7\u00e3o antibacteriana, sem deixar de ser biodegrad\u00e1vel e recicl\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O estudo foi publicado no peri\u00f3dico &#8220;Chemical Engineering Journal&#8221; por pesquisadores do Laborat\u00f3rio Nacional de Nanotecnologia (LNNano\/CNPEM), em parceria com a Unicamp e a UFABC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O novo material \u00e9 produzido a partir da intera\u00e7\u00e3o eletrost\u00e1tica entre nanocelulose cati\u00f4nica, extra\u00edda do&nbsp;<strong>baga\u00e7o da cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar<\/strong>, e l\u00e1tex natural da&nbsp;<strong>seringueira<\/strong>. As cargas opostas dessas subst\u00e2ncias se atraem, formando camadas alternadas que revestem o papel com firmeza e estabilidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Cada componente desempenha um papel complementar: a nanocelulose cria uma barreira densa contra gases e \u00f3leos, enquanto o l\u00e1tex confere resist\u00eancia \u00e0 \u00e1gua, explica Juliana Bernardes, pesquisadora do LNNano e uma das respons\u00e1veis pelo estudo.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desempenho superior aos revestimentos sint\u00e9ticos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos testes laboratoriais, o papel com cinco camadas reduziu em 20 vezes a passagem de vapor de \u00e1gua e em 4 mil vezes a permeabilidade ao oxig\u00eanio. Ele pode ser reaproveitado no ciclo produtivo sem perda de propriedades, segundo o CNPEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Para a etapa seguinte, o desafio ser\u00e1 ampliar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o. \u201cPara viabilizar essa tecnologia em escala industrial, \u00e9 fundamental estabelecer parcerias com empresas interessadas. (&#8230;) O custo projetado mostrou-se competitivo em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s resinas polim\u00e9ricas tradicionalmente empregadas\u201d, afirma Juliana Bernardes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pesquisa colaborativa e patente registrada<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O trabalho reuniu pesquisadores das \u00e1reas de qu\u00edmica, engenharia qu\u00edmica e biologia, respons\u00e1veis pela formula\u00e7\u00e3o das camadas, pelo processo de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o e pelos testes antimicrobianos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O projeto recebeu financiamento da Fapesp e do CNPq, e j\u00e1 resultou em pedido de patente no Brasil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Para o desenvolvimento deste projeto, foi composta uma equipe multidisciplinar, reunindo especialistas em qu\u00edmica, engenharia qu\u00edmica e biologia.
